Esafety: Geo-referenced Photos On Your Smart Phone

Here is thought-provoking news clip on the potential risks attached to geotagged photos generated by smart phones. Users are inadvertently allowing their smart phones of children to automatically tag photos of children, for example, with precise location data. Then they are uploading the same photos online which might then be linked back to real-life places.
Also included in the same clip – a website designed to raise awareness of this potential privacy leak by publically geo-referencing photos send via twitter users: http://icanstalku.com/ The site provides instructions on how to disable geo-tagging on a smart phone.
